Located just 2 hours west of Sydney, Bathurst offers city convenience with a country-town feel.​​

Autumn is arguably the best time of year in Bathurst. Expect daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-teens to mid-twenties, with evenings becoming noticeably cooler, often dropping into single digits.
Autumn is also considerably quieter than the Bathurst 1000 race period in October.
